Jessica Salema

Celebrating her 20th year as a certified hair stylist, Salon owner, Jessica is dedicated to delivering personalized and high-quality service. Jessica began her career in Vancouver, where her deep passion for creativity and beauty flourished.
To continuously refine her craft, she furthered her education at the esteemed Sassoon Academy in Seattle and Santa Monica, mastering advanced techniques that shape her work today. specializing in extensions, grey blending and everything to do with blondes, Jessica is dedicated to delivering exceptional results to her clients unique needs.
As a proud owner of her own salon, Jessica’s commitment to her clients is matched by her love for the community and family. Outside her professional life, Jessica is a devoted mother to her 13 year old daughter, Ella, and actively participates in local Westshore events. When she’s not working or travelling, you’ll find her snowboarding, mountain biking, playing soccer, and spending time outdoors, where she embraces an active adventurous lifestyle.
Jessica’s Cabello Goal: To create an urban relaxing atmosphere for clients, and a creative supportive work environment for stylists to learn and produce artistic hair.

After 12 years in Alberta perfecting Kay’s craft as a hairstylist, she decided to embrace a new adventure on the island.
Kay’s true passion lies in creating stunning, lived-in blondes and crafting custom colour formulas that perfectly suit each client. She also love’s giving a fabulous blowout, leaving your hair soft, bouncy, and ready to turn heads. Her focus is on delivering a personalized experience where your vision and her experience come together seamlessly.
When she’s not behind the chair, you can find her soaking up the sun on the beach, paddle boarding on the ocean, or enjoying life as a devoted cat mom to her two fur babies.

Amy started her career as a Hairstylist in 2006 and was born and raised on Vancouver Island's peninsula. She's spent most of her career in the Victoria area, aside from 5 years in Alberta.
Amy recently returned to work from maternity leave and joined the Cabello family. She is excited to be back behind the chair, creating beautiful hair again! Amy loves doing all types of hair, from beautiful blonds to deep rich browns, and cuts for short and long hair too. Amy loves to keep up with current hair trends through ongoing education.

Natalie is new to Vancouver Island. She recently relocated from central Alberta. Natalie is a senior stylist who has been in the hair industry for 25 years. She is passionate about colouring and cutting. Natalie's experience and artistic eye give her confidence in her work. From a soft natural look to a bold statement, Natalie sees every client's transformation as exciting. Having naturally curly hair gives her an appreciation and understanding of cutting and styling curls. In addition to being creative, Natalie also enjoys getting to know her clients. Her soft-spoken nature makes her a great listener and enables her to truly understand her clients' needs.
Away from the salon, Natalie loves life's simple things, including gardening, hiking, cooking, and spending time with family.

Shelby

Growing up in a small town in Alberta, Shelby knew she wanted a big change. That drive led her to begin her hair journey at Blanche MacDonald in Vancouver. With three years in the industry, she’s passionate about continuing to learn, grow, and build meaningful connections with her clients.
Shelby loves all things red and copper and thrives on bold, dramatic transformations. Colour services are where she truly shines, and her greatest passion is helping people feel confident and their absolute best. One of Shelby’s biggest goals as a stylist is empowering her clients with knowledge—teaching them how to care for their specific hair type and texture. With thousands of products on the market, she focuses on finding what truly works for you, while educating clients on proper hair care and the science behind each product.
When she’s not in the salon, Shelby can be found relaxing in her cozy mountain escape, reading a good book or watching a rom-com. She has a creative side, enjoying hobbies like candle making, sewing, and crocheting. Most often, though, you’ll find her outdoors—unwinding, recharging, and soaking in nature.
Alyssa began her journey at Cabello as a receptionist, where being immersed in the salon environment and working closely alongside the stylists sparked her passion for hair. Now working as both a receptionist and salon assistant, Alyssa has gained valuable hands-on experience behind the scenes, supporting the stylists and learning the day-to-day rhythm of the salon. Inspired by the creativity and artistry around her, she is currently continuing her education at Academy of Excellence in Hair Design and is excited to keep growing within the industry she loves.
Through her time at Cabello, Alyssa has developed a deep appreciation for the impact hair can have on confidence and self-expression. She is eager to continue building her skills, connecting with clients, and learning from the talented team around her as she pursues her passion for hair and works toward becoming a stylist herself.
When she’s not in the salon or at school, Alyssa enjoys spending time at the beach, exploring scenic spots, and relaxing with friends and family.

Mina recently joined the Cabello Salon team and brings over 25 years of experience in the hair industry. With a strong background in both cutting and colouring, Mina specializes in blondes and brunettes and loves customizing every look to suit her client—whether it’s long hair, short hair, or a complete transformation. Her extensive training throughout her career allows her to confidently tailor each service to enhance her clients’ natural features and lifestyle.
Mina is passionate about helping people feel confident and look their absolute best. She believes education is key and takes the time to teach her clients how to properly care for their specific hair type at home. Staying inspired through advanced education and current fashion trends keeps her work fresh, modern, and personalized.
Outside of the salon, Mina enjoys spending her days off staying active and creative. You’ll often find her walking outdoors, gardening, cooking, sewing, and keeping busy with hands-on projects that fuel her creativity.
